Centre de Recherche JURISCONSULTE (CRJ)
CRJ is a vital resource center dedicated to fostering effective and inclusive humanitarian protection and sustainable development throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. We serve as a key partner for both local and national stakeholders, providing crucial resources, comprehensive training programs, and specialized technical expertise.
Our fundamental aim is to empower local development initiatives, ensuring they effectively address the rights and needs of communities in a manner that is sustainable in the long term and respectful of their unique cultural context.
CRJ holds a strong vision for a brighter future in Sub-Saharan Africa, and to achieve this, we offer tailored assistance directly to affected populations, prioritizing the fulfillment of their immediate needs while upholding their dignity. Furthermore, we play a supportive role for private and public entities, guiding them in the integration of core humanitarian principles and fundamental human rights into their organizational operations and policy frameworks.
Our dedicated efforts concentrate on several key areas:
- Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH):** Strengthening safeguards and promoting ethical conduct within organizations and programs.
- Statelessness:** Working to prevent and address the issue of statelessness and ensure the rights of affected individuals through advocacy and legal support.
- Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence (GBV):** Implementing strategies to prevent GBV, providing support to survivors, and working with communities to challenge harmful social norms.
- Adherence to Essential Humanitarian Standards:** Promoting and ensuring the application of recognized humanitarian principles in the delivery of aid and assistance.
- Promotion of Accountability Mechanisms:** Fostering transparency and accountability within humanitarian and development initiatives to ensure responsible resource management and effective program delivery.
- Strengthening of Coordination Among Relevant Actors:** Facilitating collaboration and information sharing between different stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, and community-based organizations, to enhance the effectiveness of interventions.
In addition to our work with humanitarian and development actors, CRJ also serves as a crucial bridge between international and local businesses. We provide comprehensive administrative, legal, and judicial support to private and public entities, both national and international, facilitating their operations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
